Novel note about structure and other boring things like titles, chapter names, and the A-Team

Sometime when I started writing this novel-thing I decided that it would generally take place over two consecutive days and then these time-spans would be the two parts of the novel. So the first twelve chapters are Part One and for now I'm calling it Today and then the second part is called Tomorrow. I will change this later when I get a better idea and also I might decide to name all the chapters instead of just calling them by their number and I still need to name this novel. I don't know. I will probably also cut some stuff and add some other stuff when I get around to editing and re-writing.

I don't think anyone wants to know any of this so anyone should ignore this post and probably click on one of the side-links to a more interesting blog like Gene Morgan's or maybe anyone should turn off anyone's computer and watch television or something because there's probably a M*A*S*H re-run on or Matlock or Hawaii Five-O or the A-Team.

I need to name this novel and I think maybe two people, possibly three have read most of it, or enough parts of it to suggest a name so please suggest novel names in the comments. There should be at least two comments or maybe three with suggested novel names, probably.

Please help with novel names. Your ideas and thoughts on this matter are kindly appreciated.

Best Regards,

Ofelia

i kinda want to rip off this other book, the Liar's Club.

But maybe something less obvious like

Dull Blade OR
The day I hit My Neighbors Dog OR
Murder During the Detroit City Rock Show on Ice

None of these are serious suggestions. I'm bad at titles. I really do want to name it the Liar's Club. It was the first thing that came to mind. Maybe you could just call it "Fibber."

I'm very bad at titles and you should completely ignore me and never ask me to help you with titles again.

Thank you for your suggestions. I think maybe it will have to be Today and tomorrow for now but other people can keep suggesting things and eventually I'll make a list of the suggestions and then that suggestion-list might become the "working title" because novels should probably have working titles.

I don't blame you. It is the better of the several titles here. I think I will continue to suggest stupid titles.

The Dead Dog in the Trunk

How to Kill a Kitten without Really Trying

A Night in the Kitchen

I hate naming things. The idea of puting a name on your novel disgusts me. Today and Tomorrow is the best I think so far. I never name anything until it needs publishing and then I usually just pick a word from the story. Something only mentioned once is good. Like Lisbon or something. Actually, Lisbon is quite good all things considered. Novel completed and all. I would call the whole novel Lisbon. Although it comes early in the novel, so maybe that won't work (Chapter 3). I was thinking it was only mentioned in Chapter 5. I don't know. Still might be good. I'm still thinking.

I like "Little Little Little" but it looks ridiculous when I look at it. Maybe just "Little" is good...

Mmmm.

How about "I'm all teeth and stuff?"

You could have the cover be a phone face with the text message inside.

That's my vote, or anything else that you could possibly text, or even if you used the image of a text-message-cover to inspire another title. : )
